Volunteers
The Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum has become the museum it is today through the work and passion of our volunteers. There are 3 different areas that volunteers can contribute to the museum; volunteers can participate in all 3 areas. The museum is always open to new volunteers who are interested in furthering the museum’s mission.
- Tour Guide–Provide guided tours for visitors through the submarine USS Razorback (SS 394). Tour guides are provided with the information that is needed to perform this task. Guided tours are provided during the museum’s operating hours and for scheduled special events. Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older to provide guided tours.
- Maintenance–Assist in the preservation of historic Naval vessels and continue up-keep of the museum complex. Maintenance work occurs outside of operating hours. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older to complete maintenance work at the museum.
